Passion for God…  Compassion for People

My Next Step is…

1. This week I will read 1 Corinthians 15:1-23 daily and reflect on the love God has

      for me.

2. This week I will invite 2 people to attend worship with me on Easter Sunday.

3. This week I will memorize Hebrews 12:2,Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the

author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the

cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

4.    Other:__________________________________________________________

We observe the Lord’s Supper because:

It forces us to REMEMBER (v. 23-25).

1.  We must remember THAT_ He died.

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance:  that Christ died

for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised

on the third day according to the Scriptures…”   I Corinthians 15:3-4

           a.  The EMPTY  TOMB

           b.  The post-mortem APPEARANCES

           c.  The FAITH of the early church

2.  We must remember WHY He died.

“In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood,

and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (of sin.)”  Hebrews 9:22

3.  We must remember HOW He died.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith,

who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,

and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  Hebrews 12:2
