We observe the Lord’s Supper because:
It forces us to REMEMBER (v. 23-25).
1. We must remember THAT_ He died.
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…” I Corinthians 15:3-4
a. The EMPTY TOMB
b. The post-mortem APPEARANCES
c. The FAITH of the early church
2. We must remember WHY He died.
“In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (of sin.)” Hebrews 9:22
3. We must remember HOW He died.
